NewsBlur was my app of choice for a Google Reader replacement and Ive really enjoyed how the developer has continued to improve all aspects of the service, but especially the iOS app. I love the "training" feature that lets you hide or surface certain articles.

But you discover it only after download. :(

This is a great app and service. Switched when google dropped reader. Never looked back, happy to pay the subscription

Fast and functional, and the developer is responsive. The ability to filter out topics based on personal interests is a big plus.

Newsblur saved my sanity when Google shut down its rss aggregator. The app has always been a little buggy, and this version still is, but they tend to be annoyances, not fatal flaws. Ive noticed after the update it crashes every time you click on a feed in the "All" view with no unread articles. Maybe anytime, but I didnt try until I had nothing current... That kept me from giving it 5 stars, but still worth it.

Since the latest update, this app only crashes for me on my iPad. I hope there is another update soon so I can resume using it on the iPad.

Never had a problem in two years I used this app but after the latest update the app wont even open. Was one of my favorites and now it appears useless. Hope a fix is coming.

The app crashes on start after update. Iphone 5s, ios 8.4.1. Tried to reinstall the app, didnt work, still crushing

Version 5.0.0 crashes. Appears to keep running in background but cant use it. My device is an iPhone 5s running iOS 8.3.

Newsblur is the Google Reader successor youve been waiting for. I spend time reading, sharing and commenting – not thinking about what service to use or how to work around limitations.

It opens for a split second and then closes every time. I havent been able to get it to open a single time since the update.

Update today has fixed the crashing problem and I wanted to give them credit for it. This is an app I use daily and frankly several times a day. I am very disappointed that when I updated today to find out that it crashes every time I try to open it and I have tried all of the usual troubleshooting tips.

I came from other apps and cant believe I didnt hear of newsblur sooner. My friends were sharing stories on Twitter and Im so glad I happened to see it. Now we can share stories with each other and its kind of the best.

Sometimes the articles scroll and sometimes they dont. Good app if they fix that bug.

So many things make NewsBlur the only serious choice for people who love RSS, but suffice it to say this developer is simply the most capable and responsive one-man show youre ever likely to see. But the benefits go beyond RSS alone, because the NewsBlur community offers community curation done right--without any pressure whatsoever. Just brilliant all the way around. My favorite app in the world.
